Life Fitness Classes


Life Fitness Classes are open to all Bentley US students.  Classes qualify for P.E. credit (attendance/participation criteria must be fulfilled) or on a drop-in basis.  No experience is necessary and Classes cater to all ability levels.

Lunch Time Classes

Foil Fencing

w/ Karen Ladenheim-Martos of Sport Fencing Center

Wednesday & Friday @ lunch (Mon. 12:50-1:40 p.m., Fri. 12:40-1:30 p.m.)

Wear sweats or long pants.  Meet in the Gym.  Session 1: ends during the week of December 12 and Session 2: begins January 14, 2009 -May 1, 2009

Who can use the Fitness Center independently?

In order to use the Fitness Center for independent workouts a student; 1) must currently or previously been a participant in ‘good standing’ of a Life Fitness Class held in the Fitness Center or 2) used the Fitness Center under a Bentley Coaches guidance during their season of sport or 3) Get permission from Rusty Taylor or Ms. Haas.


What is required of students wanting to use the Fitness Center during a free period, lunch time, or after school?

In order to have access to the Fitness Center a student must check in with Rusty Taylor or Ms. Haas. Students need to be outfitted in appropriate ‘workout cloths’ (e.g. shorts, sweats, cross training shoes, etc). Students should use the locker room facilities to change and store backpacks.  Lockers are available from Ms. Haas (bring a combination lock). Students must be activity engaged in a workout during their time in the Fitness Center.  No food is allowed in Fitness Center, only water or sport drinks. All equipment must be used appropriately and for its intended purpose. Equipment must be returned to the appropriate place after using. Students not abiding by the Fitness Center requirements will be asked to leave and possibly lose their privilege to return independently. Open Fitness Center is held every Friday from 2:30-4pm. All students must sign-in before entering in Ms. Haas’ office.
