We are pleased to host a very special evening with Daniel James Brown, Bentley School Alumnus and Author of #1 New York Times Bestseller The Boys in the Boat: Nine Americans and Their Epic Quest for Gold at the 1936 Berlin Olympics.

Daniel James Brown is the New York Times bestselling author of The Boys in the Boat: Nine Americans and Their Epic Quest for Gold at the 1936 Berlin Olympics and a Bentley School alumnusBrown attended the University of California at Berkeley and taught writing at San Jose State University and Stanford before becoming a technical writer and editor, first in Silicon Valley and later at Microsoft. The Boys in the Boat, published in 2013, remains on the New York Times' nonfiction list today. We are delighted to welcome Brown back to his alma mater for a lecture and conversation about the heroic 1936 Olympic rowing team, men whose shared commitment, lives, and spirit resonate so deeply with our nation's readers.
