Bentley Student Culture
Bentley students are not only fearless learners–they are joyful and inspiring individuals. In all three divisions, students treat each other as they would want to be treated, and include each other in learning, activities and friendship. Our students take great pride in old and new school traditions and enjoy every opportunity to come together to show their Phoenix spirit, whether it’s in weekly Town Hall meetings, drama productions, or athletic events.
Life on the Hiller Campus
Located on six acres in the beautiful Oakland Hills, the school offers a "home away from home" feeling to its students providing the backdrop for excellence in teaching and learning for the youngest members of our community. Students are encouraged to celebrate their successes, to take risks, and learn from their failures. The diversity of our families brings new traditions to Bentley and a respect for individual differences among families who share similar values of academic rigor in a nurturing and supportive environment.
Life at Lafayette
Nine acres with a country day school feel, including a state of the art playing field, gymnasium and the Student Performing Arts Center (SPAC), provide the backdrop for four exciting and challenging years. Upper School students choose to spend long days at a place they love and in which they take great pride, whether in the classroom, on the field, in the science labs, on stage, in the ROV space, pursuing physics, robotics or culinary arts. At Bentley we expect the best of Bentley from every student, as we share the high aspirations they have for themselves. College Counseling, which begins in ninth grade, allows students to explore their passions and develop an academic and co-curricular road map that prepares them for the top colleges and universities of their choice locally, nationally, and internationally.
