Performing Arts

The Bentley Performing Arts Department aims to mentally, physically, and emotionally engage students. Innovative, compelling music, theatre and dance not only celebrates great art, but also develops and nurtures the mind, body, and spirit. The curriculum in the Performing Arts department is designed to allow students to develop an understanding of, and appreciation for, the Arts through a combination of historical and analytical study, and hands-on experience. Students may take classes in all the areas of the Arts, or they may specialize as they choose. Areas include Dance, Theater Arts, Music, and Technical Theater.

Students at Bentley must take a minimum of two years of the Arts, and ninth graders are required to take one year-long Arts course. Department Chair approval is required for acceptance into all Performing Arts courses.
