Fitness and Wellness

At Bentley, we strive to enrich the mental, emotional, and physical well-being of every student during this tremendous time of maturity and growth. For those students who do not participate in interscholastic athletics, Bentley offers Life Fitness courses such as martial arts, dance or yoga or alternate wellness activities outside of Bentley to fulfill the six physical education credit requirement for graduation. Read about the Life Fitness classes and Alternate Activity program below.

Life Fitness Classes
Life Fitness classes are open to all Bentley Upper School students, and qualify for physical education credit. Attendance/participation criteria must be fulfilled in order to receive credit. No experience is necessary and classes cater to all ability levels. Students must meet attendance requirement to receive Physical Education credit.

Alternate Activity Program

The Alternate Activity Program permits students to pursue an athletic or recreational activity outside of the Bentley Athletics Department, and apply the activity hours toward the cumulative physical education credit required for graduation. Examples include martial arts training, fencing, club swimming, equestrian training, etc. Students can apply using the Alternate Activity Application located in My Bentley.
