The mission of Bentley School’s Lafayette Library is to provide resources and instruction to further the Upper School's goal of teaching fundamental skills in traditional academic areas. It is the library’s aim to be the "library of first resort" for its students and faculty.
The library also strives to provide an environment conducive to fostering independent lifelong learning. We endeavor to help our students become informed and contributing members of both their school and civic communities. The library provides a setting where students develop the 21st century skills they will need to locate, analyze, evaluate, interpret, and communicate information and ideas. The library is an important part of school life, serving as the research center for students and faculty, and offering instruction in the use of current technology and traditional print resources.
